About
SportAtSchool is an extension to the already highly successful CensusAtSchool project that aims to collect and disseminate real data for use by teachers and pupils in data-handling, ICT and across the curriculum for teaching and learning.
SportAtSchool just like CensusAtSchool is a non-profit making project funded by organisations interested in promoting good use of statistics and data handling.

Why Register
All of the resources on the SportAtSchool website are free to download and use, unless otherwise stated. The free resources include the Random Data Selector (RDS), the Data Interrogation Tool, any Questionnaires and the many downloadable teaching and learning materials developed from the project. However, if you are a teacher and wish to retrieve the data that your class and/or school have submitted (which are added to the SportAtSchool databases), you will need to register so that we can confirm your identity before sending you the data.
In addition, registering with us ensures you are kept up-to-date with all the latest news, events and resources.
Copyright and Permissions
For Teachers and Students
You may photocopy or reproduce electronically all material on the website for use in your classroom. Any copy of these materials shall retain all copyright in the same manner and form as on the original, and must include the complete URL www.SportAtSchool.org.uk as applicable.
In addition teachers may edit and or redraft the material, use text or tables, use extracts and /or vocabulary items. Should this be the case, "Adapted from" must be indicated as such in the source. The source of data generated by the random data selector or taken from tables and graphs must be acknowledged in all documents and communications, including on Internet sites, by providing the following source citation: "Source (or "Adapted from", if appropriate): SportAtSchool, www.SportAtSchool.org.uk, and date of extraction" or in the case of material relating more generally to the project "Source (or "Adapted from", if appropriate): The SportAtSchool Project run by the Royal Statistical Society Centre for Statistical Education".
For Educational Institutions (Advisors, DCSF, QCA, Exam boards etc)
If you wish to include material from SportAtSchool you should contact us to gain permission to reproduce. This will usually be forthcoming as long as you have an educational aim and are willing to acknowledge us as the source.
For Commecial Use
SportAtSchool material cannot be used in any publication/resource unless formal written permission is granted. SportAtSchool reserves the right to review any inclusion of material prior to publication. Contact us with full and clear details of intent of use. Copyright includes all data obtainable from the website.
The RSSCSE SportAtSchool database stores the details you submit to us via the web registration interface. This database is owned and maintained by the RSSCSE, and all details are stored securely. We will NOT make the data you submit publicly available (for eample, even on this website), nor will we give or sell a copy to any third party.
The main purpose of storing your details on the database is to enable us to fulfil our aim of keeping in contact with all colleagues who participate in the SportAtSchool Project.
By registering with the project, for an event or service, you consent to your details being stored within the RSSCSE database for the purpose of administering, evaluating and reporting against this event or service; you will not receive any further follow-up information from the RSSCSE or the SportAtSchool team other than in relation to the event or service you have registered for or requested.
